OPERA AND HISTORY - NEW LECTURE SERIES

We kindly invite you to the first lecture in the series Opera and History, exploring Auber’s La muette de Portici. Polish Radio 2’s ‘opera man’, Aleksander Laskowski, joins historian and music lover prof. Hieronim Grala to discuss an opera with a special connection to political events in the nineteenth century.

The discussion will be accompanied by a musical commentary performed by Krzysztof Książek, whilst the ‘starting signal’ will be Chopin’s ‘Revolutionary’ Etude in C minor, Op. 10 No. 12.
